1. Objectives of the position :

- Lead technical marketing and development of BASF formulation additives (SBU ED2) in Asia Pacific

- Animate, build and train a team of technical advisors supporting sales of formulation additives in country

2. Representative Main tasks :

- Participate to development of global strategy for formulation additives and regional implementation plan

- Continuously monitor market trends, competitor activities, technology changes and drivers further down the value chain and initiate, suggest appropriate developments and actions

- Provide product positioning and technical promotion tools to sales team

- Manage support and monitor new product developments and lead preparation of launch packages, including input to phase gate for regional and global projects

- Support marketing communication programs in the region covering promotion material, seminars, fairs and workshop with country teams

- Help to establish BASF as the partner of choice of customers, distributors and industry leader

- Ensure coordination of technical activities within region, realize synergies

- Train and lead team of technical advisors in countries

- Guarantee that technical advisors work across countries according similar agreed upon principles and set of Key Performance Indicators

- Establish close relationship with key stakeholders, regulatory body, industry association, key end users and customers

- Develop an open and trusting working relationship with BASF colleagues across the countries and across the other regions

3. Education & Qualification :

- Over B.S. degree in chemistry, chemical engineering or such related areas

- Direct exposure to paint formulation in industrial or/and decorative coatings is a must

- Experience in additives and uses is beneficial

- Experience in other sub-segments such as construction, printing inks, adhesives is a plus
