• Corporate income tax: Prepare tax return and payments within deadline, perform risk & opportunity assessment and maintain knowledge
• VAT and other taxes: Prepare tax returns and payments within deadline; Prepare or review the VAT reconciliations from accounting to tax
• Withholding tax: Review non-trade related agreements from tax perspective; Coordinate with Tax authority of tax position for the best interest of the Company; Prepare and review submission of filing and review reconciliation periodically (risk based)
• Tax accounting: Work with Corporate tax team on the defer tax provisions for both SH and HK JV under US GAAP, IFRS and PRC GAAP
• Transfer Pricing: Review transfer pricing methodology with Corporate tax and its implementation in SAP, identify any deviations and propose TP adjustments and true-ups; Prepare local files and segmentation sheet, data collection for TP documentation and filing
• Tax Coordination: Being major contacts and maintain healthy relationship with tax authorities, coordinate with external consultant/agency/auditor on tax reporting, declaration and verification etc;
• Tax Audit: Receive notification, coordinate data collection, lead and conclude tax audit if any
• Tax updates: Monitor rules and regulations and maintain reasonable judgement of the facts and interpretation of the relevant tax rulings
• Provide expertise and assistance to ensure continuous compliance with the Chinese Tax Laws and regulations as well as policies and processes
• Involved in ad hoc tax related projects
• Miscellaneous tax administration work
