As a Lead Engineer, you will be part of the Industrial Automation Business and Marine & Ports Business Line (BL) based in Shanghai. ABB is the World leader in Industrial Automation (IA) division delivers integrated solutions for control, plant optimization, and industry-specific application knowledge and services to help process industry customers worldwide to meet their critical business needs in the areas of operational profitability, capital productivity, risk management and global responsibility. These industries include oil and gas, power, chemicals and pharmaceuticals, pulp and paper, metals, cement, minerals, marine and turbocharging.

? Have main responsibility over the nominated projects.
? Clarify handover material.
? Assist to make project schedule for engineering.
? Execute mechanical engineering in nominated projects, prepare mechanical project documentation.
? Approves project engineering documentation.
? Prepare and maintain project document list.
? Create project BOM.
? Make Purchase Request for mechanical parts.
? Prepare classification documentation.
? Verification of compliance with marine classification society standards.
? Responsible for technical communication with classification society.
? Participate FAT and internal tests when necessary and conduct FAT analyses.
? Provide technical support (from office) for commissioning, HAT and SAT.
? Provide technical support for production.
? Assist in quality notifications handling (analyses, correction plan).
? Report progress of own area of responsibility in project to project manager.
? Work together with other members in project team in order to achieve timely project execution.
? Lead and coordinate all engineering disciplines in projects.
? Monitor requirements of rules and standards.

? A BSc or MSc degree, major in Mechanical Engineering or Similar.
? Strong experience with Mechanical Engineering and Experience with Marine classification society cooperation.
? Familiar with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office and SAP.
? Previous work experience at marine design institute, shipyard or heavy machinery production company supplying to the marine industry.
? Expert with FAT, HAT and SAT.
? Experience with both English and Chinese technical documentation.
? Project management experience (scheduling, resource planning and progress follow up) is preferred.
? Orientation to the work: training for ABB systems and products will be provided.
? Long terms relationship to ABB highly appreciated.
? Ability to do work both independently and in team.
? Able to work in several projects at the same time.
? A high level of self-motivation, curiosity and desire to learn about new technologies.
? Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with a collaborative, solutions-oriented approach, and strong communication skills.
