Position: Executive, Lab - Bakery
Work Location: Shanghai - Pudong (Shuttle Bus is Provided)
Reporting to: Manager Asia Pacific
People Management Responsibility: No

JOB OBJECTIVES:
1.Provide technical guidance/assistance to countries for product applications with focus on bakery, dessert, ice cream and whipping cream application, including optimization, troubleshooting, and training of personnel to enhance pre- and post- sales services
2.Deep knowledge and coverage of product portfolios of food technology
3.Information sharing with Kuala Lumpur lab
4.Provide technical competency of our products, etc to help to define technical marketing positioning in the relevant countries/sub-region to facilitate the development and modifications of sound strategies and business objectives
5.Conduct lab or pilot scale trials and provide prototype samples to sales team

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
(1) Product Strategy/ Strategy Development
- Provide input of business trends and customer requirements
- Provide technical inputs/recommendation to strategy development and implementation based on analysis of product performance in comparison to competitive products and reports that define and rank performance requirements for technical success
- Provide competitive product performance information to verify competitiveness of own products
- Proposing R & D projects for new or improved products as well as application developments/customer solutions in conjunction with global innovation team
(2) Technical Marketing/Segment Marketing and Application
- Provide inputs and recommendations for developing/evaluating product applications, defining marketability, modifications and termination of ineffective products
- Maintain an up-to-date working knowledge of newly developing technologies and manufacturing practices and share with the sales/marketing personnel
- Establish database of analytic methods, answering customers technical questions, etc.
(3) Product launches
- Develop prototype samples to ensure successful introduction of the defined products
- Share with the sales and marketing team via reporting/workshops the experience gained in technical service laboratories/manufacturing processes in proper application/formulation techniques

REQUIREMENTS:
1. Education: Bachelor degree or above in Food Technology, or relevant
2. Minimum 5 years' related working experiences with sufficient expertise in related (bakery, ice cream, dessert, etc.) industry
3. Good interpersonal communication skills
4. Good at written and spoken English
