JOB OBJECTIVES:
Fully responsible for Technical Service for paper coating business in Asia Pacific
Fully responsible for leading the technical & product development team, supporting the market / sales development and implementation of business strategy
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. As a Technical Service Manager, incumbent is expected to manage large accounts in identifying future customer needs and be able to determine their service levels/requirements, approaches and processes to meet their satisfaction with products and services
2. Visit customers to provide technical support as a trouble shooter and offer solutions, including handling/following up complaints on technical related issues
3. Interface sales/marketing people, technical service, R&D and laboratory to understand and apply production/application techniques to enhance business opportunities via product applications, meet customer expectations and solve technical problems
4. Incumbent to provide input and recommendations for product application development, evaluating product performance and defining its marketability, to make appropriate call for ongoing product viability
5. Incumbent to provide technical input and recommendation to strategy development and implementation based on product performance analysis in comparison to competitive products/services. Define and rank performance requirements for technical success
6. In new product launches, participate as part of the team to contribute manufacturing processes and to influence product end-use performance, to ensure smooth introduction of the final product to customer
7. As a Technical Service Manager, incumbent is expected to support employee development by participation in employee recruitment, and ensuring succession planning is in place. To provide coaching, development opportunities and to ensure enhancement of his subordinates' technical competencies so they can carry out their tasks effectively
8. Incumbent to ensure his continuous personal development, improve and enhance technical competencies via external and/or internal training / knowledge exchanges so he can carry out his tasks confidently and effectively
REQUIREMENTS:
1. Degree in Chemical Engineering or Equivalent. Knowledge of Paper Industry is essential
2. Minimum 8 years working experience in the paper making
3. Possess basic knowledge of emulsion polymer chemistry, polymerization
4. Has been in Leadership position for 3-4 years
5. Excellence knowledge of paper making
6. Comprehensive knowledge of paper coating
7. Having good sense of commercial understanding and analytical thinking
8. Strong strategic, communication and presentation skills
9. Excellent Influencing skills to convince external customers
