Job Description

An exciting opportunity exists for a Commercial Manager - Account Management within the Civil Aerospace Customer Regional Team, supporting our customers operating out of the Greater China region and managing a variety of original equipment and services agreements. The role will be based in the Beijing Customer Service Centre.

Key Accountabilities:

  • to be the Commercial lead for allocated customer accounts and to provide an efficient and timely Commercial Account Management service for such accounts, including management of contracted commitments, invoicing, issuing credits, TotalCare escalation and reconciliations, offer letters, contract interpretation and amendments to contracts;
  • to manage the resolution of customer issues, claims, disputes and litigation in order to minimise cost and risk to the company. To draft, negotiate and agree associated commercial settlements and/or contractual amendments as necessary;
  • to identify and assess potential risks and liabilities inherent in contracts and to propose and negotiate amendments to manage, minimise or mitigate such risks or liabilities whilst achieving expected financial returns;
  • to manage profit, cash and debt relating to specific contracts to ensure that financial targets are achieved and to provide timely and accurate inputs into the financial forecasting process;
  • to ensure delivery of relevant Customer Regional Team objectives in line with Business Plan Deployment, while demonstrating compliance with Commercial function and business policies and procedures;
  • to provide technical supervision/coaching to Commercial Officers on day to day issues;



    Qualifications:

  • Well-developed interpersonal, diplomacy, communication, influencing and negotiations skills.
  • Ability to solve complex problems while maintaining customer focus.
  • Sound Commercial judgement and business acumen.
  • Ability to prioritise workloads to meet demanding deadlines.
  • Experience of influencing both at a functional and task level, as well as at senior levels of the organisation.
  • Experience of managing Commercial professionals is preferred.
