As a HSE Specialist, you will be part of the Power Grids (PG) Division and Grid Integration (BU) Business unit, based in Beijing. ABB is World’s No.1 in Power Products Business and the product manufactured becomes the key components to transmit and distribute electricity. The division incorporates ABB’s manufacturing network for Transformers, Switchgear, Circuit Breakers, Cables and associated equipment. It also offers all the services needed to ensure products’ performance and extend their lifespan.

You will contribute to improving Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) performance and Corporate Responsibility in CN HVDC. Support the business by applying in-depth knowledge to offer solutions and advice through delivery of Group-wide performance improvement programs and/or Group Audit Program.

1. Governance ：Deliver and deploy HSE training, audit and Group-wide performance improvement programs to local PG,CN HVDC.
2. Metrics ：Provide analysis of HSE data within area of responsibility. Report on progress on implementation of Sustainability Objectives and key performance indicators (KPI) as required.
3. Regulatory Compliance : Contribute to assessing emerging trends and legislation in HSE and communicates relevant information on legal requirements within area of expertise and geography. Support constituent countries to operate in compliance with standards and respective legal obligations.
4. Risk Management ：Deliver audit and supports follow up of improvement actions in the Local PG, CN HVDC.
5.Communication and Engagement： Cooperate across functions and with business partners to raise awareness and drive performance, engage with internal and external stakeholders to build commitment and credibility for CN HVDC.
6. Operational support ：Contribute to driving behavioral change and continuous improvement though delivery of training and competence initiatives and expert support to the Local PG, CN HVDC in line with yearly HSE plan. Support the sharing of best practice. Coordinate reporting on HSE performance and support delivery of Group audit program and external DNV.GL or customer’s audit.
7. Project Management ：Contribute to and/or plans and executes Health, Safety and Environment performance and Corporate Responsibility related projects. Develop and report on project objectives. Manage project resources such as manpower, financials and other relevant factors. Draft the Project HSE plan and monitor the HSE performance both in manufactures and project site installations.
8. ISO System Maintenance of HSE to update the related documentations, instructions and produces, implement on the ABB way based on Group requirement.

？ Bachelor’s Degree and major in Relative Safety Engineering.
？ 5 years of experience in HSE management in a Manufacturing or Project Environment and experience from Off Shore (Oil & Gas) is preferred.
？ Good understanding of ISO14001 and OHSAS18001 standard, methodology and tools.
？ Familiar with China's safety and environment laws and policies.
？ Certified in Safety Engineer is an added advantage.
？ Good skills to negotiate, communicate, and resolve issues with both internal and external constituencies.
？ Strong capability for risk management.
？ Fluent in English.
