Job Description?
Purpose
1) Perform Process or Quality system , Ethics, RoHS audits on critical modules like PCB, Mechanical part, Battery , Display, Touch Panel and Finished Product to meet NPI timeline and quality expectation.
2) Lead quality improvement and resolution for all quality issues related to these commodities; this includes application review, process audit review, failure analysis.
3) Be prepared to lead and/or support all initiatives and programs in regards to specification, safety , reliability ,supplier quality and cost recovery.
4) Influence and interact with potential customers to set in place quality agreements (contracts)

Customer Interaction
1) Be a member in the Supplier Selection and Approval process, and commodity council.
2) Interface with R&D on issues related to design & application. Specifically identifying root causes.
3) Interface with Component Engineering and Sourcing communities on issues related to qualification ,quality, reliability and cost recovery of non quality.
4. Interface with Contract Electronic Manufacturers (CEMs) and Sourcing Industrial Partnership on issues related to process and production of the products

Leadership & Influence
1) Able to analyze the supplier's non compliance and drive the supplier to improved quality levels while resolving issues of non-compliances.
2) Able to lead and drive quality improvement team to improve product quality and recover non quality cost from suppliers.
3) Able to identify strength and weakness of suppliers / parts and recommend solution to the improvement.



Candidate Profile?


1) Degree in Engineering or equivalent with minimum 5 years of experience in the quality /engineering/ product development field
2) Proficient in English language (read, write and speak) and Mandarin.
3) Experience in module design and quality / reliability management of like PCB, Mechanical part, Battery , Display, Touch Panel and Finished Product
4) Strong knowledge on quality tools (eg. SPC, Control Plan, FMEA,Kaizen, 6 sigma and other problem solving skills.)
5) Experience in Supplier Quality Assurance and Auditing desired with strong knowledge on quality systems (ISO9000,TL9000, ISO14000) and CSR requirement ( SA8000, ISO18000)
6)Computer literate - Microsoft products: excel, word, Powerpoint and so on
