Job Description

The successful applicant will join  Mining and Geotechnical Services Department.

Duties and responsibilities include:

?       Travel to locations in China in order to install and maintain  microseismic monitoring systems.

?       Install hardware and software upgrades and troubleshoot system problems both remotely and at client sites.

?       Prepare field reports and technical notes.

?       Provide remote technical support for clients.

?       Train industry personnel and clients on instrumentation usage.

?       Assist with the design of microseismic arrays and perform optimization of seismic systems following the installation of new systems or system upgrades.

?       Write analysis reports to summarize array design and system optimization work.

?       Assist to educate the clients on software suite and the range of support and processing service. Promoting services (include software upgrade and system support) and assist with direct sales and building revenue for services.

Qualifications and Experience

?       Bachelor Degree of Engineering in Electronics or Instrumentation Engineering or related background, Geotechnical or Mining background will be preferred.

?       English fluency in speaking, reading and writing.

?       Flexibility to travel frequently (sometimes on short notice), and occasionally travel in underground mines.

?       Strong computer hardware and software skills, including the ability to efficiently learn new computer software packages.
