Job Description
Teradata China R&D is looking for a senior database analytics developer to join our business analytics development team. His or her responsibilities include developing solutions to analyze huge volume of SQL query information stored on Hadoop and database systems. The person will participate in the architecture design and development for our Data analysis platform, work with other business units in Teradata to understand data needs, and design and implement solutions, research and explore technologies in the areas of data mining, machine learning, etc, and develop techniques/algorithms/measurement for the research and analysis work mentioned above.
Requirements:
· 3+ years of strong Java development experience
· Good understanding to database query processing concepts
· Knowledge of Hadoop Mapreduce concepts
· Master or above degrees in database, data mining, data analysis, or related fields
· Good communication skills, both verbal and written
· Familiarity and experience with agile (scrum) development process
Optional Qualifications:
· PhD with hands on Java development is a plus
· Experience in database kernel is a great plus
· Development experience on Hadoop Mapreduce is a plus
