POSITION SUMAMRY&KEY TASK DESCRIPTION:
Lead the field sales force, to drive revenue growth through expansion and space productivity improvement in line with Puma China Strategy. Drive top line sales growth and identify opportunities.
- Account Management
Ensure constructive cooperation with local accounts and distribution partners through excellent account management
Maximize Customer PO fulfillment rate and deliver merchandise to local accounts on time to hit set launch dates in store
Provide good customer and after sales service
2. Distribution Management (Expansion)
Manage the territorial distribution, territory penetration and channel development according to company strategy
Develop territorial expansion plans based on new open target & store allocation
Frequently search for business opportunities
Maintain distribution policy and grading integrity to facilitate consumer access to the Puma brand within all desirable and relevant distribution channels
Ensure all Puma PRS standards and guidelines are applied and maintained from door opening until door closing process
3. Space Management (Productivity)
- Manage productivity improvement of Puma branded spaces
Apply smart location management, upgrade spaces and drive for bigger footprints
Guide Customers in Puma Retail Space Management (PRS), Merchandise Assortment Planning and Retail Operations
Support Retail peers in their task of enhancing Retail Excellence (Training, VM, Operations, etc) and Marketing/Retail Marketing department to execute marketing campaigns, promotions and city attacks while ensuring impact
Facilitate reliable on time delivery and set up of in-store marketing tools
Work with Merchandising and Buyers to improve assortment selection and drive seasonal campaign support and on time shelf presentation
Focus on Gold, Silver, Bronze locations and demonstrate commitment in the Excellence Stores Program
Monitor space KPI’s
Implement space improvement plan if necessary
Be responsible for comp store improvement
4. Process Management
- Drive the Go-to-market process from a Sales perspective together with the Regional Accounts Manager
Work hand in hand with the regional functional leaders in Product Operations, Merchandising, Marketing and Retail
Foster an effective and aligned Go-To-Market process (from Planning, Tradeshow, Purchase Order Management, Allocation, Credit Approval, Shipment until Product Launch)
5. Presentation Excellence
- As a role model for preparing and staging effective and impactful presentations in one to one and larger group situations. e.g.: National Sales Meeting, Budget Presentations, Monthly Sales Meetings, Presentations in front of customers, etc.
6. Collaboration with Peers
- Establish and foster a strong, collaborative and efficient relationship with key peers in Finance, Sales Management, Marketing and Merchandising
- 4 year university degree in Business Management or Equivalent.
- 6 to 8 years of sales experience preferably in sporting goods industry (or equivalent industries: e.g. Lifestyle, Fashion, Retail, etc)
- 2 to 3 years of account management experience
- Understanding of systems
- Good command of computer skills (e.g.: Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word)
- Language: Native Mandarin; fluent writing & speaking in English;
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, including meeting facilitation and excellent presentations;

- Must have extensive knowledge of sporting goods industry (or Fashion, or Lifestyle) and franchise management.
- Must understand the competitive market in the dedicated region, customers and retail models.
- Must be able to use financial data to make sound decisions on budget management, maximization of revenues, profits and sales opportunities.
- Must be able to develop and execute policies and programs to achieve maximum sales volume focusing on both (a) sell-out (Retail) and (b) sell-in (Wholesale).
- Must be able to understand complex business issues, find creative ways to solve problems, and make sound decisions that benefit PUMA.
- Must be able to develop and maintain fair and honest relationships at all levels, both internally and externally.
- Must have excellent ability to communicate complex and/or controversial topics and concepts to a wide and diverse audience with the ability to effectively adapt communication to the interest and level of the audience.
- Must have a proven ability to persuade and influence people to take desired action.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with clear, concise written messages through memos, e-mails and reports.
- Must have a positive and entrepreneurial attitude that can potentially inspire people
