About Nielsen Consumer Neuroscience:

Our brains react to our world in milliseconds — faster than we’re consciously aware. And much of what drives our everyday decisions, including what we’ll watch, talk about and buy, are the emotional responses that can’t be measured through traditional self-report methods.

By using the latest neuroscience technologies in combination with traditional survey methods, we help brands understand consumers’ non-conscious and conscious emotional responses, memory activations and attentional patterns, empowering them to better navigate the increasing complexity of modern consumer behavior.

Our insights provide actionable results and an unprecedented understanding of consumer related decision-making, allowing our clients to build deep, lasting connections with their target audiences.

The team’s Neuroscientist’s primary responsibilities are to support our product protocols, and provide leadership and insight to our client service and lab operations teams. The ideal candidate is adept at using data sets to find opportunities for product and process optimization and using models to test the effectiveness of different courses of action. The right candidate must have a strong background of neuroscience or psychology, and be with great a passion and capability to apply science in a marketing setting.  

Responsibilities:

Work with commercial team to identify opportunities for leveraging neural data to drive business solutions.

Project support and scientific review.

Communicate with clients to identify the potential needs and develop new applications for solutions.

Effectively communicate complex scientific concepts in a simple manner – oral and written.

Requirements:

 

Ph.D. in neuroscience or psychology (all sub-disciplines will be considered)

Excellent English language skills, both spoken and written.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, to apply to client analyses, internal domestic and global teams

Good interpersonal skills, highly motivated orientation toward client relationships and supporting local commercial team 

A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques with strong problem solving skills

Ability to multi-task and prioritize based on client and team feedback
