Main Functions and Responsibilities

The position is responsible for engineering and engineering support for the Merck Taicang Site. Duties include project planning, and execution, equipment maintenance and improvement. Target is to provide a stable equipment condition for production to cover the present and future needs.

Responsibilities of repair, overhaul, documentation and compliance to legislation are also within scope.

Major Activity
Maintain high up-time and reliability of equipment through preventive and corrective maintenance including repair and overhaul
Optimize, improve and modify equipment for efficiency and quality to ensure a stable production condition through systematic, analytical approaches
Managing technical investment project with responsibilities of budget, equipment selection and commissioning
Ensure proper documentation to Merck standard and compliance to related legislation

Qualification:
BS/MS degree in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering or electrical engineering
Minimum 3 years in chemical or related production plant
Experience in projects management preferable
Good command in English
MS office
CAD preferable
