For our Vero Moda team luxury product line in Beijing, China, we are currently looking for a junior designer to assist our senior designer to develop our collections.

Assignments and responsibilities

• Be part of a team that develops and designs products through every phase of development from sketching, fabric selection, accessory approval and fitting, to the final production.

• Create 5 collections and 4 express collections a year

• Collaborate and brainstorm on specified strategic design directions in corporation with design manager.

• Analyse sales figures and development style needs.

• Manage files to suppliers.

 

Qualifications

• You have a degree in fashion design.
• You have at least 1-2 years of relevant work experience in fashion design.
• Preferably your previous work experience is from a luxury women’s wear brand, high street level.
• You have advanced knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe InDesign, also Microsoft office.
• You have the ability to design and create styles for luxury and cool women.
• You have basic knowledge of tailoring.
• You can identify new trends and implement this in your work.
• You have a good eye for colour and composition, paying attention to detail.
• You can work independently.
• You have strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
• You have basic English skills, both spoken and written.
• You are willing to live and work in Beijing, China.
• You are interested in working with other cultures.
