As part of BP's response to the dual challenge of providing more energy with fewer emissions, a new Integrated Gas & Power (IGP) business has been established, effective January 2019 to develop material positions across five customer demand segments - industrial use, power generation, transport, city gas, and retail/digital gas and power.
The Integrated Gas & Power business will initially be established within IST, with a mandate to secure long-term demand for gas, to develop integrated customer offers and to capture downstream gas and power margins which are adjacent to BP's existing businesses. Leadership support from the Group (in the form of Deputy CEO sponsorship) and the Segments will be maintained to ensure strategic alignment, to support capex investments, and to deliver integrated solutions to host governments in BP's key markets.
The Gas China team monitors the two joint ventures' performance and manages BP's relationship with JV partners, relevant government authorities. Meanwhile, the team is actively exploring new growth opportunities for BP in the China gas market to deliver BP IGP strategy. The position holder will identify, develop and execute new business opportunities to optimize the asset value for BP and to grow our IGP business in China.


* Responsible to manage the implementation of BP capacity via GDLNG, including but not limited to develop， negotiate，manage and implement all the required contracts, obtaining relevant government approvals, set up a small local deliver and operation team & office, develop the operation procedure and prepare for the implementation.
* Establish and enhance business relationship with key local companies including GDLNG, TJV and other local gas & power companies to support the implementation of the BP capacity.
* Support management to develop and maintain the relationship with partners and relevant government authorities, including setting up senior management meetings, preparing pre-read, talking notes, attending the meetings and compiling meeting memorandum, etc.;
* Develop business case and project development plan for BP TUA implementation project. Coordinate the project internal approval process. Prepare project briefing papers and notes seek internal support;
* Develop BP positions on TUA implementation issues and provide recommendations to support senior management in decision making;
* Conduct commercial analysis and identify the key risks and mitigation plans. Work with BP functions to understand any technical, commercial, legal or tax implications;
* Collect and consolidate market intelligence and comprehensively analyses the demand & supply balance in Guangdong gas market and identify supply opportunities and key market uncertainties and risks.

* Around 10 years in energy business with JV management experience and project development experience in relation to LNG regas terminal and China Downstream Gas marketing
* A in-depth understanding of terminal operation and capacity monetisation is plus
* A proven track record of commercial/contracts negotiation/management experience in the energy business and China downstream gas marketing business.
* Commercial acumen and track record of building businesses in energy business
* Strong ability to build and maintain business relationships
* Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to influence partners and senior management
* Fluency in English and Chinese
* Be flexible in multi-tasking and willing to take challenges
* A good team-player
