Job Title: Design Center (Sr.) Data Scientist

Reports to: DC Manager or Director/ Regional Leader

Business unit: Data Science 

Location:  Shanghai

 

Job Purpose

As a Design Center  (Senior) Data Scientist, this person will be responsible for  executing the tasks in RES to SD end to end, supporting the piloting and/or roll-out of  E2E new tools/methods, supporting and guiding the offshore team.

 

Job Responsibilities 

Collaborate and guide DC Offshore team to execute RES design, Universe estimation for both BAU and New panel 

Design the ideal sample size for BAU and new panel

Provide sample selection method to Operation team for New Panel

Manage the parallel panel & simulate the impact of panel revamp

Work with method team and operation to implement E2E tools in great China, define the impact and could explain the change in the data

Work with SAGE to improve the WB compliance in GC

Help CE team to answer the query about RES to SD related from CPG

Answer the query about RES to SD related from Non-CPG

Interfaces with Methods team to understand new methodologies

 

Minimum qualifications

 

Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, and Engineering, an applied science or equivalent practical experience.

Practical experience in statistical methodologies including data cleansing, application of probability distributions, and sampling.

Rich knowledge or work experience in at least one of the above specific topics.

Ability to comfortably work with at least two scripting languages such as R, python or SQL. (Intermediate level).

Ability to speak and write in English and Mandarin fluently and idiomatically.
