Job Purpose

> Dedicated iron ore and steel research undertaken with possible options to extend to other hard commodities if time allows;

> More higher-quality intelligence to iron ore/hard commodities team;

> Better consolidation for the firm's ability to weather storms in the iron ore and steel markets;

> More man power and involvements in field trips to key iron ore/steel areas in order to build in instant info/market feedbacks into research



Responsibilities

> Research on the factors affecting S&D of iron ore and steel worldwide

> Update and maintenance of a steel/iron ore balance sheet

> Interact with other analysts and stakeholders to communicate new developments affecting this and other related markets



Key Result Areas

> Iron ore and steel balance sheets contain up to date information and stakeholders are communicated the latest changes.

> Creates reports in the corresponding areas, in interaction with other analysts in the team including freight, macro and hard commodities



Education, experience, skills

> BS in economics / materials / engineering / shipping or equivalent experience

> 2 + years of experience in research on iron ore/steel/hard commodity related markets

> Good communications skills in both English (CET of 6 or above) and Mandarin
