职位描述
We are actively seeking a legal advisor with a minimum of 4 years of experience to serve as a key player in the Aon China legal team for Aon Hewitt China’s business (“Business”). Law firm experience or corporate in-house legal with international experience and consulting services would be preferred. This role is expected to be a part of the decision making process within the Business, involving regular interaction with senior leadership in the businesses along with Aon China Legal Team, and will be accountable for the outcome of projects in which the counsel is involved. The position will report to Senior Counsel, China, who leads Aon’s legal team in China.
Primary responsibilities includes:
Apply legal, business, and analytical skills to all legal matters within the Business, including:
Contractual matters
– Drafting and reviewing of a range of commercial agreements (including Service Agreements, proposals, Non-Disclosure Agreements, RFPs / RFIs, employment, licensing,).
– Participate in client contract negotiations, where necessary.
– Interact with internal teams, including operations, business development, finance to draft / review SOW and with HR and IT teams for a range of key strategic business initiatives where legal support is required.
Advisory
– Analysis of legal issues related to commercial risks to present clear recommendations and practical counseling to ensure compliance with various PRC legal matters, local regulations and laws.
– Participate in negotiations with customers and vendors and ensure conformance with internal contracting requirements, policies, guidelines and risk mitigation requirements
– Co-ordinate and provide legal advisory support related to operations in the Business on issues such as:
? mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, new business set-up, liquidation, dissolution and other corporate transactions;
? financial services;
? employment law and local employment related matters;
? And, other transactional matters.
– Supporting the strategic direction of the Aon Group and Legal Department on projects and initiatives that may be allocated from time to time.
Legal Administration
– Working closely with China Legal Team to support the Greater China Business Leadership in management and operations on a day-to-day basis and ensuring that the overall contract management process is adhered to and legal risks are managed in accordance with approved policies and standards when providing legal support.
– Working together with China Legal Team to develop and improve the legal processes and tools, including providing training to employees where required.
– Assist in handling official audits and investigations and develop working relationship with enforcement authorities when needed.
Qualifications:
– A law degree from a recognized law school and excellent academics.
– Qualified PRC lawyer
– Proficiency in the Chinese language and in spoken and written English.
– Proficiency with PC environment and related software.
– Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills with ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization, including business leadership while exercising sound judgment, self-confidence, and respect for others.
– Able to work as an integral part of a regional team, from a China standpoint, fostering teamwork and cultivating relationships, as well as ability to work independently and take the initiative where necessary
– Ability to work independently as well as a team player in a fast-paced, multi-task environment; willingness to research, analyze and develop new skills. Critical and innovative thinking, problem-solving and analytical skills.
– Flexibility with respect to assigned tasks and engagements due to changing deadlines, changing deliverables and evolving task priorities. Flexible within the role and willing to get involved as required by the task at hand.
– Proven ability to manage domestic and international coordination among cross-functional teams.
– Ability to identify and articulate practical legal solutions in a useful and easily-understood manner while partnering with the internal/external client to ensure successful implementation.

– Reporting relationship with a functional manager who is not in the same office
– Coordinate with and, as appropriate, provide local legal support for key compliance initiatives
