Role Responsibilities:
Providing technical/application support to the Sales Representative and client base on Vantage (server, client, network, application). And deliver the value of Vantage solution.
Main Activities:

• Assisting the sales force with pre sales activities such as proposal preparation, systems demonstrations and presentations, product installations and pilot projects for proof of concept.
• Participate in pre and mid-evaluation reviews with Prospects and Sales Representatives.
• Co-ordinating installations activity and providing support to customers during installation. Includes hands on user education, training and problem resolution.
• Initial post installation first level support and assistance to customers on an ongoing basis, conducting customer education courses and seminars.
• Keeping management aware of potential areas for product, services and educational sales, being continually aware of new products and releases through regular updates with the Product Manager.
• Attending and presenting at User Groups and Trade Shows.
• Functioning as back-up for other product areas
• Maintaining technical/application configuration/documentation.

Experience:

• Typically 5-10 years in a technical role or in a specific market area with experience in installing and/or using computerized systems.
• Understanding of computer applications in business 1-3 years with a specific product and remainder in software engineering, starting as Analyst Programmer.
• Knowledge of Unix ideal (System Administration skills)
• Oracle or Sybase experience, additional experience with MS SQL Server and Informix highly desirable.
• Extensive experience utilising various middleware components including SQL*NET, Oracle OCI, Sybase Open-Client ODBC.
• Conceptual understanding of Winsock, WWW and Networking
• Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Information Technology
  Years of experience in network administration/infrastructure building and management
  Networking troubleshooting
• Knowledge of Win NT, SQL, SNA, Exchange, TCP/IP, TPX/SPX, WAN, Routers, Token Ring, Ethernet networks
• CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, MCSE preferred
• Works independently and able to identify customer needs and provide support
  Excellent communication skills and good command of English and Mandarin
