Summary: The U.S. Mission in Beijing is seeking an eligible and qualified applicant for the position of Make-Ready Coordinator.
Work schedule: Full Time (40 hours per week)
Start date: Candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time after receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.
Supervisory Position: No
Duties: The make-ready coordinator reports to the Supervisory Residential Housing Coordinator and provides work guidance to the housing Maintenance Inspector. The make-ready coordinator is responsible for coordinating Embassy Beijing’s residential make-ready program, and serves as primary point-of-contact on all residential make-ready matters between Facilities Management, GSO-Property, landlords, contractors/venders, and resident occupants, ensuring that all residences are in good condition for occupancy. The make-ready coordinator assists GSO-Property personnel with choice and placement of appropriate furnishings. The make-ready coordinator is the backup for implementing Embassy Beijing’s air quality monitoring and mitigation efforts by coordinating recommended improvements with landlords. Conducts housing pool residences measurements and coordinates with the GSO-Facilities & Maintenance staff to input AutoCAD floor plans and measure gross/net area calculations.
Qualifications and Evaluations
Education: Two years college or university studies required.
Requirements:
EXPERIENCE: Three years minimum work experience in customer service, engineering, real estate, maintenance, or property management is required.
JOB KNOWLEDGE: Must have a thorough knowledge of customer service. Must have a good working knowledge of post housing policy, practices, and local housing services, conditions, real estate market, as well as be able to coordinate work with local contractors and vendors.
Evaluations:
LANGUAGE: Level IV (Fluent) reading/writing/speaking in English is required. (This will be tested.)
Level IV (Fluent) reading/writing/speaking in Chinese is required.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must be able to use State Department IT products with full efficiency.
Qualifications: All applicants under consideration will be required to pass medical and security certifications.
