职位描述
1. PURPOSE OF THE JOB
? Responsible for the stock planning and replenishment process from demand planning, safety stock setting, to material planning and procurement until goods received at the warehouses.
? Oversee customer demand, stock and supply planning to ensure excellent customer service while maintaining optimum stock level.
2. REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
? Report to the Finance & Admin Manager of the division
? No direct report to this position.
3. RESOURCES CONTROLLED
? Stock investment, stock level and disposal of stock
? Cost related to capital, space, freight and material handling
? Stock availability, value and turnover

5. SCOPE OF DECISION MAKING
? Forecast rules, forecast and demand priorities
? Inventory policy, safety stock setting and stock level
? Purchase plan and inbound delivery plan
? Stock deployment and transfer plan
? Purchase order for stocking items
6. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (Key Results Area)
? Primarily responsible for stock investment and for making recommendations on the deployment of that stock throughout China to meet customer service objectives whilst limiting the companies exposure to redundant stock.
? Fully responsible for the planning of material requirements by part number to achieve both stock and customer service objectives through forecasting demand, setting safety stocks, calculating policy stocks, setting EOQs and managing forward orders.
? Maximize and continuously improve forecast accuracy through effective operation of the planning system and through actively communicating and coordinating with sales team.
? Ensure purchase orders are placed in time, closely followed-up, shipping and packaging requirements are carried out timely by suppliers.
? Ensure that company objectives are under-pinned by accurate parameter setting and attention to detail including forecastabilty reviews and ABC Coding.
? Responsible for the identification, redeployment and disposal of excess stock in all Warehouses with appropriate financial / business authorisation.
? Balance reordering frequency with stock level and quantity requirement to achieve an overall optimum logistics cost and performance.
7. MAIN TASKS
? Active communication with sales team and managers to understand business requirements and to optimize the forward plans.
? Work out sales forecast according to sales history and sales orders / inputs from sales team, maximize and continuously improve the accuracy of the forecast.
? Define, review and set up stock policy and parameters such as lead time, MOQ, etc. on product level.
? Review and control new stock plan request and ensure that planned stock is within stock target.
? Issue purchase orders, follow up the supply status and ensure all shipping requirements are carried out timely by suppliers.
? Ensure invoice/packing/shipping documents are collected, checked and submitted to related parties.
? Coordinate forwarders, customs brokers and warehouses to complete the transportation, customs clearance and goods receiving.
? Identify excesses and reduction opportunities and manage the stock reduction / deployment process.
? Generate reports and performance measures in terms of inventory availability, stock turnover, on-time supply to support business decision making and management reporting
8. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
? Ability to communicate and coordinate with colleagues and related parties in a cross-functional environment.
? Initiative, accountable and be able to work under pressure.
? Thorough understanding of statistical principles of forecasting, planning methods and evaluation of safety stock.
? Strong planning, organizing, analysis and data processing skills.
? Good understanding of order to cash flow and business requirements.
? Fluency in spoken and written English and Chinese mandarin.
? Sound knowledge and experience in ERP such as Oracle, SAP, Baan or equivalent.
? Bachelor's degree in statistics, economics, logistics or related.
? CPIM certificate preferred but not a must.
? Minimum 3-5 years solid experience in demand planning, material planning, procurement and inventory optimization in a trading environment.
? Hands-on experience in ERP (Oracle preferred), Ms Excel, planning and reporting tools.
