职位描述

Purpose of the position



  1. Product management of electronics speciality gases (ESG); Helium and AUECC chemicals focused to electronics applications with strong focus on growth and margin improvement in China & Taiwan with aligned P/L responsibility with country ESG sales team

  2. Look for organic & inorganic growth areas for ESGs in China & Taiwan with strong focus on localization.

  3. Commercialization of existing and new investments.

  4. Facilitate the ESG and electronic end market specific chemical strategy for LLH group and act as an interface with LLH sales and Linde entities to facilitate strategy execution and alignment.

  5. Own the product marketing function of assigned product portfolio with providing market guidance to LLH group in PvD, industry trends and represent LLH in trade shows.



Principal responsibilities



  1. Delivering the LLH ESG and AUECC wet chemicals Sales & Margin plan as aligned with Sales Management team.

  2. Ensuring that LLH has a robust commercialization strategy for existing and new investments in place not only for China & Taiwan but also inclusive of opportunities for exporting outside of these markets.

  3. Participate in all ESG related M&A activities for LLH group.

  4. Build local capability development on ESG front including product portfolio management; sales capability development and supplier management.

  5. Own LLH ESG and AUECC electronics chemical strategy, including:


  • Delivering a multi supplier (finished/raw material) blended cost base that can achieve Business Plan profitability targets in all envisaged market scenarios.

  • Make/buy decisions on a mix of Joint Ventures, Strategic partnerships, long term supply agreements and/or in-house manufacture.

  • Optimization of LLH ESG plants in China and Taiwan and new investments to support LLH business needs.

  • Liaise with Linde senior management in GGCE, OS Hub, FICO, Corporate Strategy & MI and RBU /JV Heads to propose and support the strategy and translate into an ongoing investment program to meet AJVs strategic needs.

  • Represent LLH position in meetings or committees of GGCE, OS hub and cooperation with 3rd Parties to execute ESG strategy and protect LLH interests.

  • Monitor each investment during the project execution phase to ensure that LLH interests are protected and that the project meets time, cost and scope per the approved investment case.



Key interfaces



  1. Product Manager is required demonstrate effective internal relationships with senior colleagues in the LLH group, GGCE, Linde RBU’s & OS Hub and is responsible for the ongoing development of key internal relationships with


  • LLH group (Sales, KAM, Senior management for strategy development and execution)

  • GGCE & OS hub team (best practises roll out and feedback; alignment of strategy)

  • Linde M&A team (Investment opportunity evaluation with suppliers)

  • T&I – Electronics (new material introduction; analytical capabilities)

  • Linde Strategy & MI group (strategy alignment; market intelligence)

  • Linde Corporate Safety (plant operations and supply chain safety)

  • Linde Corporate Procurement (LLH procurement activities)

2. Demonstrate effective external relationships at 3rd party ESG.




Required key skills (functional/technical)



  1. In depth understanding of the competitive environment, customer requirements & landscape and supplier capabilities & landscape in the electronics materials business.

  2. In depth expertise in strategic sourcing, supply chain management, electronics quality management systems and distribution assets for hazardous materials.

  3. Strong proven business acumen

  4. Leadership skills to manage cross cultural and vertical teams.

  5. Strong communication and persuasive presentation skills

  6. Strategic and analytical thinking with ability to generate and evaluate solutions.

  7. Expertise in change management and deployment of effective training programs and behavioural change initiatives assisting sales and KAM team.



Required qualifications/experience



  1. First Degree in a business or engineering discipline accompanied by sufficient technical competence to enable an understanding ESG space.

  2. MBA or other higher business/finance degree is essential

  3. A minimum of 8 yrs experience in a decision making position in a related gas or chemical industry, preferably in commercial role.

  4. 5+ years of international management experience leading teams

  5. Experiences in a leading role in Sourcing & Procurement functions highly desired

  6. Direct experience in ESG business development or sales a must

  7. Strong financial and market analysis acumen and proven track record of project management and commercialization.

  8. Strong base knowledge of global semi and TFT-LCD markets is a pre-requisite – ideally accompanied by an established network of contacts in one or both industries.

  9. Experience of managing multiple Investments and Projects concurrently

  10. Experience working in a multi-cultural environment.

  11. Strong working knowledge in China and Taiwan and with experience in working with JV set ups.
