Summary: The U.S. Mission in Beijing is seeking one eligible and qualified applicant for the position of Financial Clerk.
The work schedule for this position is: Full Time (40 hours per week)
Start date: Candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time of receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.
Supervisory Position: No
Duties: The Financial Clerk manages the submission of all Mission vouchers which are received by Financial Management Center (FMC) for processing. The position receives all invoices, claims and miscellaneous administrative vouchers for registration and distribution. The Financial Clerk serves as the first point of contact for all submissions to the Voucher Examiners. The position is responsible for sending notifications, rejections or seeking clarification from internal and external customers. The Financial Clerk provides a full range of administrative duties and support to FMC.
Qualifications and Evaluations
Education:
Two years college studies is required.
Requirements:
EXPERIENCE: Two years working experience in one or more aspects of financial management or a work environment that includes an aptitude for figures and/or detail-related duties.
JOB KNOWLEDGE: Proficient in Microsoft Office software and be able to quickly acquire proficiency in ILMS, Momentum and COAST. Must have a sound working knowledge of the FAM, particularly 4 FAM/FAH, and other regulatory material such as the DSSR.
Evaluations:
LANGUAGE: Level III (Good Working Knowledge) speaking/reading/writing in English is required. (This will be tested.)
Level III (Good Working Knowledge) speaking/reading/writing in Chinese is required.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must be flexible and able to work with frequent changes in work priorities. Familiar with all kinds of vouchers (PO, Representation, leases, utilities, travel, education, ORE, etc.) Must have high attention to detail and be able to review large quantities of information quickly and identify and correct discrepancies. Must possess excellent customer service skills and be able to send appropriate notifications and rejections.
Qualifications: All applicants under consideration will be required to pass medical and security certifications.
