The exciting and evolving field of data science and machine learning within ELEKTA requires research and development in the areas of data mining, optimization, imaging, artificial intelligent and much more.

Responsibilities:

• To participate in concept exploration projects within advanced development team.
• To develop artificial intelligent based new concepts and algorithms for radiotherapeutic informatics and image-guided radiotherapy.
• To facilitate the implementation and smoothen the integration of such algorithms by the development teams.
• Design and co-implement domain concepts and algorithms into reusable (future proof, technology insensitive) software modules.
• To provide support and advise in running artificial intelligent research and development projects.
• Prototype applications of the algorithms to investigate and demonstrate their feasibility.
• Support internal/external researchers/scientists in developing algorithms for use in the architecture of Elekta's products.
• Active tracking of new ideas, algorithms, patents, articles in the field of data science and machine/deep learning.

Qualifications:

• Excellent mathematics skills at MSc or PhD level.
• Expert in Machine learning with an interest in deep learning
• Proven ability to translate physics and mathematical concepts into product development.
• Proven ability to understand and learn the details of complex physics and mathematics algorithms.
• Expertise in image processing, image classification using CNN (Convolutional neural network), SVM (Support Vector Machines), etc.
• Experience in machine learning techniques and open source libraries such as TensorFlow and OpenCV.
• Expertise in Python, R, etc.
• Ability to create production code in C++ or C# is an asset
• Experience in data science is an asset
