Project Manager - Auto

You will be the project lead and will manage a local project or part of a global project with Chinese language deployment. You will analyze customer requirement, plan the work package and schedule, organize the resources of development team and execute tasks to complete commitments to customer in a project scope. You will report project status regularly to customer and Nuance management.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

As part of the worldwide Embedded Professional Services organization, you will manage automotive professional service project to meet the quality and schedule commitment to customer. You will be leading and managing the integration of Nuance’s state-of-the-art speech recognition and speech synthesis software into platforms and applications of major automotive companies in the world.

- Manage project with development team consisting of local engineers. Taking full accountability for project planning, organizing, execution, QA and delivery.

- Provide regular and accurate project baseline report and follow up with billing schedule in Nuance's Oracle system.

- Coordinate project execution with Nuance R&D team and PS specialists in local and international offices.

- Organize and lead the meetings and workshops with customer to introduce Nuance technology and solutions, and help customer understand the collaboration model in the project.

- Help account team to approach potential customers for new opportunities by hosting product/solution workshop and presenting demos.

- Establish and maintain smooth communication and a solid and productive relationship with the customer through regular reporting, meeting and follow-up

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years customer-facing experience managing the full life cycle of complex embedded technology projects

- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English is a must

- Experience with embedded hardware platforms, operating systems, and software development, preferably related to the automotive electronics/infotainment industry

- Proven problem-solving skills and ability to work with minimum supervision

- A good track record at estimating budgets and schedules and delivering on them

- Ability and willingness to handle period peak demands

- Professional project management certificate (PMP, PRINCE2)

- Demonstrated leadership talent to provide direction, motivation and insights to the project team members
