Job Function The System Engineer will be called upon to help solve any number of system issues for internal and external designs. A strong understanding of how hardware systems work, how software interacts in the systems, bus interface protocols and standards, imbedded subsystems, RF subsystem, modem, and networking protocols will be needed to solve functional and performance issues.

An ideal candidate for this position is someone who enjoys the challenge of solving difficult systems issues, and is a fast learner with strong commitment to results.

Responsibilities - Working close with multi-function development team, as a bridge to establish internal & external system specs and interfaces. Need to co-work with US and local design team;

- Chip brings up after tape-out and take responsible for reference design;

- Chip and system level performance tuning and debug;

- Develop hardware validation test plan and scripts;

- Support AE/FAE team to solve functional and performance issues

- Digital, analog, and RF chip level debug; hardware and software systems integration and debug;

- Systems will include WiFi/Bluetooth/FM, host interface, embedded subsystem and RF/Modem subsystems

Skills/Experience - BS Electrical or Computer Engineering, MS preferred

- Three or more years of related industrial experience desired

- Good HW/SW systems knowledge. Programming skills in C/C++, Perl and Python is a plus.

- Enjoys hands on lab work using test/measurement equipments (logic analyzer, oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, in-circuit emulator)

- Experience with board level SOC designs with MIPS, ARM or equivalent embedded processors

- Strong trouble-shooting and analytical skills

- Knowledge of Bluetooth Spec or Wireless LAN protocols or cellular wireless communication protocols is a plus

- Highly motivated, fast learner, team player with good communication skills

- RF experience is a plus
