Job Function Your main responsibility is to lead a product test team to execute the product level test for Qualcomm chipset based wireless devices. By providing technical leadership and mentorship, you are expected to build a strong test team covering all wireless technologies WCDMA, CDMA, GSM, TD-SCDMA, and LTE. In particular, you will be responsible for the overall modem quality, which includes

Carry out day-to-day management for modem system test on multiple product lines.

Lead continuous development and enhancement the product test plan

Maintain a high quality standard and requirement on QRD mobile devices that is higher than competitors

Closely monitor test progress and ensure the product quality by enforcing milestone gates

Develop and build expertise within the test team on debugging and log analysis

Coordinate test activities, from unit test, to integration and verification test, to system test by working with development team, integration team, customer support, as well as customers directly.

Work with external testing houses and consulting/outsourcing companies to achieve a sufficient test coverage for various target markets

Build a strong modem test team that covers various areas of modem quality verifications, from 3G wireless technology to WiFi to Bluetooth to multimedia applications.

Responsibilities

Skills/Experience More than 10 years of working experience in wireless communication industry,

More than 6 years of experience of mobile system design and mobile system testing, with an in-depth understanding of mobile technology, from modem to application, from mobile to RAN to core network.

Strong project management experience

Strong experience of managing and mentoring a team of engineers supporting multiple product lines

Solid understanding of various wireless communication technologies, such as GSM, CDMA, WCDMA, HSPA, LTE and TD-SCDMA

Good understanding of smart phone architecture

Strong understanding of system engineering principles, system requirement definition, and system testing/development processes

Quality focused and result oriented

Education Requirements Master degree in engineering and communication area or higher.
