Job Description:

Advanced Lipids is a joint venture of AAK and IFF/Frutarom. Recognized as a leading, reliable, high-value partner to the infant formula industry. Advanced Lipids manufactures and markets INFAT®, a specialized fat ingredient for infant formulas that has been proven in the market for more than a decade. 

The primary role will be to sell infant nutrition products, open new accounts, maintain current accounts, and contribute to achieving sales goals by effectively implementing marketing strategies and sales plans in the infant nutrition industry within the assigned territory in China.

The candidate will also be responsible for new business development. Work under direction of VP Sales in China, supported by the head quarter in Europe.

Location:  Shanghai, China

Responsibilities:   

v  Representing in the Infant Nutrition industry in China

v  Managing relations with customers and distributors in specific territory ‘maintaining current sales and initiating new projects and new cooperation’s.

v  Implementing marketing & sales strategies; analyzing trends and results

v  Implementing territory sales plan.

v  Maintaining good relations with current customers

v  Working in close cooperation with the European HQ

v  Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

v  Constantly analyzing the infant nutrition and nutritional market in China: recognizing trends, defining strategy, mapping relevant brands, gathering information regarding potential customers, prioritizing opportunities.

v  Participating in trade shows, seminars and meetings with infant nutrition and nutrition customers.

v  Developing and maintaining good relations with customers through visits, events and promotional activities.

v  Able to present, new products, new ingredients and new concepts to the market.

 

Required Qualifications:

v  Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, food science or medical fields with commercial sales and marketing experience

v  Minimum 5 years' experience within the B2B food ingredients industry related to infant nutrition or general nutrition 

v  Familiarity and professional contacts within the Infant Nutrition and dairy industry

v  Product knowledge of the entire nutrition industry from infant nutrition to clinical nutrition and related ingredients

v  Ability to collect and analyze market data, to develop, maintain and implement long term plans.

v  Excellent oral and writing skills in English.

v  Proven self-motivator with demonstrated will-to-win and drive to achieve attitude

v  Good communication skills, ability to work as part of a multi-national multi-cultural team

v  Ready to travel within China and occasionally to Europe and other areas. This will take up to 50% of the total working time.

v  Independent, Entrepreneur with good Business Development skills
