Job description
The AP Response Team Consultant is responsible for driving customer success by providing senior technical support for major and strategic customers through the delivery of complex technical solutions, troubleshooting and temporary account management.
The AP Response Team Consultant is in particular responsible for assisting in the resolution of customer issues and securing references by working directly with the assigned sales, professional service, customer support and corporate personnel to develop and execute an account plan that meets both the requirements outlined by the customer and the objectives of Cognos.
this includes solving issues and creating references in a timely manner and increasing the size of existing implementations through active account management. Finally, the AP Response Team Consultant is to provide support to other technical personnel in the area to enhance their customer successes. The Response Team for AP is expected to operate across the AP Region and is therefore expected to undertake travel at quite short notice to react to the situation requirements.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Post-sales/Support
Provide strategic and senior level product support and troubleshooting.
Develop, and assist in the development of, account plans.
Provide senior level follow-up for technical issues during and after an engagement.
Develop comprehensive technical account plans in conjunction with sales and corporate representatives that include: technical qualification of customer situations, proposed success criteria, trial/test plans and issue solution planning.
Develop customers into Cognos success references.
Assist other technical personnel in account management, references and account securing activities.
Provide knowledge leadership and transfer to Cognos personnel directly and through providing content for proven practices
Develop and provide specialist training to internal staff.
Provide knowledge transfer to customers in engagements.
Management Reporting and Administration
Manage the projects providing regular communication to the customers.
Provide updates and manage the situations through the Red Account Application.
Provide Response Team Manager with required periodic activity reporting.
Provide any other reporting defined by sales or technical management.
Travel
As this is an AP role travel around Asia Pacific is required
