Job description
Monitor analyze, report technologies and standards related policies.
Monitor the changes of the technology policies, organization structure, decision making process;
Conduct analysis on changes in technology policies, standards and government regulations that may have negative impact on IBM business.
Update the overall relationship portfolio and identify those potential important stakeholders and key figures.
Regularly engage and coordinate with key government stakeholders to help with IBM lobby efforts to avoid/mitigate any negative impact of selected technology policy issues that may potentially be on IBM business continuity.
Assist senior management in writing GP strategies and action plans to address these technology policies and specified regulatory issues.
Manage and develop relationships with relevant government agencies, including General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection & Quarantine (AQSIQ), State Administration for Industry & Commerce (SAIC), Standardization Administration of China (SAC), Certification and Accreditation Administration of China (CNCA), Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST), and their associated bodies.
Work with industry associations, Chinese and foreign in the implementation of GP lobby strategies.
Work with IBM business units and GP head office to identify and approach the key government agencies closely related to information security, and standards in China to support IBM business growth, optimization and global integration priorities.
Support and work with the local teams for communication and reputation and all other necessary issues.
Required Skills
Master's degree, 8+ years of IT working experiences
Prior working experience in the government organizations and multi-national Corporations in China
Capable of understanding details of complex issues from both a business and policy perspective.
Skills in drafting business documents both in Chinese and English
Skills in communicating with the officials and the internal business units
Excellent analytical skills and capacity to anticipate and react to changes in technology policies and government regulations that are required to meet IBM's current and future business needs.
