Job Function Handling and debugging of DSP Firmware related performance and stability problems, feature integration, change requests and customer launch gating modem physical layer issues reported on Qualcomm cellular chipsets. Work in close co-operation with OEMs at various testing and product commercialisation stages. Directly interface with the global GERAN core development team on a regular basis to follow up on issues and ramp up on new developments. Interface to SW integration and test teams, close cooperation with other technology teams such as TDSCDMA, LTE, WCDMA for interoperability issues.

Responsibilities

Skills/Experience -Good GSM/GPRS/EDGE physical layer knowledge

-Strong embedded programming background

-Very good DSP FW debugging skills in a real-time environment

-Offline analysis of mobile phone and network logs

-Familiar with mobile test and debug equipment, such as base station simulators, JTAG debuggers, logic analyzers

-Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a global team spread over different continents

-Excellent spoken and written English skills

-TD-SCDMA knowledge desirable

-Communication systems background desirable

Education Requirements Education requirements: Bachelor or MSc in Digital Communications, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent, 3+ years of relevant experience.
