Role Summary/Purpose :

The Lead Service System Designer leads service technology Design of Service (DFS) development for products and plays a critical collaboration role with engineering and service teams. The Lead Service System Designer will be responsible for driving cross-functional high-impact business initiatives that deliver technology, functional/process harmonization, platforms, and innovation.

Essential Responsibilities :

? The LSSD owns and drives the Service System requirement, design architecture and implementation for (a) efficient installation/ configuration/calibration (b) optimized diagnostics (c) repair (d) PM. 

? LSSD ensures that Service Requirements/Needs are clearly captured/defined & flowed down effectively through the System Design to Sub-System team to ensure effective implementation.

? LSSD drives strategy for Proprietary Vs Non-Prop Service offering Architecture (service tools and documentation classification)

? LSSD Leads and Drives Technical contents for Service Validation (Service Methods, FRU’s, Installation procedure etc.)

? LSSD drives technical contents for Service Procedure Documentation: Pre-Install Manual, Installation Manuals, Service Methods, FRU replacement Manual, filed action procedure (FMI), etc.

? LSSD Owns Service Technology Road Map and Integrate key serviceability needs into engineering roadmaps

? LSSD drives the reduction and simplification for installation & warranty cost

Qualifications/Requirements :

? BS Degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Physics related discipline and 4 years’ experience in a technical discipline

? Proven ability to develop timely and effective solutions for challenging design problems

? Demonstrated ability to make recommendations to technical and program leadership to improve the product, process or technology

? Effective communication skills and boundaryless behavior—ability to present ideas clearly and concisely

? Self-starter, energizing, results oriented, and able to multi-task

Desired Characteristics :

? Passionate for team work and team discussion

? Excellent verbal and written communication skills

? Master’s degree in Electrical, Biomedical Engineering or other closely related fields

? Demonstrated problem solving ability and results orientation

? Willingness to propose designs to team on quality and make constructive suggestion

? Global working experience in engineering

? Fluent English communication skills is required for this job with a lot of global communication with peers and leaders
