DESCRIPTION: 

 The Project Specialist will be key in driving process improvement for the MP&A.   

 The MP&A team is composed of three teams:  merchandising, planning/ buying and allocation. The team is split between China and the United States and this position will interact with the entire team. The project specialist will work directly with the AVP of MP&A to drive initiatives and tests to support the expansion of the three teams.   

 This includes reviewing existing process to identify new ways of working, help improve the tools we use (reporting, allocation, merchandising documentation…) and support new tests in the market.   

 This position covers the entire product lifecycle: pre-season, in season & post season. It will also be linked to products, planning and supply chain initiatives. The right candidate is a strategic thinker, a good presenter and influencer, able to think tactically and strategically. He/ She should be able to challenge the status quo, have an internal drive to learn new systems and processes independently, figure out how to bring order to places without structure. The role is ideal for an individual with strong technical background and interest to learn more about the business of retail. It is also a great stepping stone into some of the other MP&A teams. Working directly with the function head, the candidate will be exposed to the brand strategy and the decision making process.   

 RESPONSIBILITIES: 

 ·         Drive strategy and decision making to maximize sales and product margin to influence the business. 

 ·         Partner cross-functionally with Merchandising, Planning, Allocation, Marketing, Store Operations, and Sourcing to ensure inventory planning goals/ objectives are achieved. 

 ·         Become resident expert at leveraging SAP Business Object to optimize reporting capabilities. 

 ·         Support and continuous improvements in Supply Chain. 

 ·         Collaborate with internal technology management team to support continuous process improvement. 

 ·         Help drive new system implementation.   

 EXPERIENCE: 

 ·         Interest in retail merchandising. 

 ·         High level of flexibility, curiosity and willingness to learn is required. 

 ·         Excellent communication, prioritizing and problem-solving skills are a must. 

 ·         Ability to work in an environment with high level of change as the business grows. 

 ·         Ability to be a team player and to foster a commitment to teamwork among associate. 

 ·         Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and customer types/ levels. 

 ·         High level of technical proficiency using Microsoft Excel and MS Access. Willingness to learn new applications and software. Proficiency in VBA or other programming languages is a plus. 

 ·         International experience a plus. Communication in English is required.   

 EDUCATION:   

 ·         Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required.
