Position: Powertrain Engineer

Division/Department: Purchasing/ Production Readiness

Location: Beijing

Main goals and objectives:

• This position ensures timeline and capacity for tools and series production of purchased parts

• This position has the responsibility for supplier qualification together with purchasing department, Q department, TE department

• This position holder has Expert knowledge for tooling, manufacturing and assembly line

• This position has the Parts responsibility for the China region (incl. tracking establishment of supplier parks, delivery in short term for urgent case of worldwide bottleneck of capacity)

• This position needs to support the suppliers of development, suggestion, alignment and Representative of the concepts to solve the technical problems based on economical / timeline aspects in the projects.

Your Responsibilities:

Common decision making of project timeline in Commitment meetings with suppliers:

• check the timeline, evaluate the plausibility

• find out the potential improvement and implementation with suppliers
  

Analyses of suppliers manufacture feasibility

• checking the developing-, tooling-, storage- and production processes at supplier side

• checking their plausibility and optimization accordingly based on the critical aspects

Reporting of the project status

• Implementation of milestone check visit;

• report of milestone of the projects

Optimization of the project in different phases

• Localization of weak points

• Analyze of Parts, Tools, Production equipment by the Suppliers regarding to lack of production

• steering the implement of the improve measures

Ensuring the capacity

• Evaluation and securing of Supplier’s capacity in different project milestone for SOP
  

• Supporting series capacity bottleneck

Preparing and presentation of the project status in different committee and escalation meeting

Coordination with the Quality Assurance, the Technical Development and Logistics for Quality and Demands of parts

Our Requirements:

Necessary education:

• Technical engineer study or comparable studies

Personal skills:

• Team spirit; communication skills; assertiveness ability; conflict management ability

• high motivation

• Travelling willingness

Working experience (in years):

• At least 3 years working experience in the similar industry field

• Industry engineering experience/background will be preferred

• Working experience abroad preferred

Remarks (Language, IT Knowledge, Certificates etc.):

• Speaking Fluent English, German will be plus

• Required software know-how (Microsoft office skills; CAD; Moldflow;…)
