Supply Chain Automation is responsible for predicting what customers want to buy and automating the inventory ordering process. We create a daily demand forecast for all Coupang’s Retail SKUs, every day. We work with internal stakeholders to solve challenging Supply Chain problems at scale. Our systems ensure Coupang’s customers are delighted with consistently available products. Automation supports scale and efficiency of our Supply Chain processes.

How We Do? 

We use Big Data processes to generate our daily forecast and buying decisions. Our systems are built on Hadoop and Spark, with forecasting models implemented in R and Python (using SciPy, NumPy) and other infrastructure in Java and Scala. Our Automated Buying systems combine machine learning with human oversight. Software Engineers work with a cross-functional team of Data Scientists, Analysts and Product Owners to build world-class systems that keep our Supply Chain running smoothly.

Responsibilities
●Apply machine learning models for application of detection and perdition, and conduct the model performance analysis
●Coordinate data scientist with latest analytical model with understanding the advantage & disadvantage 
●Work independently for simple model development & cooperate with engineer on products, such as Promotion Model, SKU Profiling, Urgency Score, etc.
●Apply techniques of data processing and analytics to automate model performance analysis
●Provide analysis reports to stakeholders to ensure the data analysis get proper response
●Work with data scientist and engineers to ensure the model can integrate with the product in a seamless way. 
●Analyze data from different source with data consistency and uncertainty, with understanding on impact of models 
Qualifications: 
●Masters in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Operation Research, or Electrical Engineering
●Minimum 3-years’ experience in database, SQL
●Knowledge and experience in data ingestion tool, data preprocessing tools (cleaning, filtering, aligning, synchronizing, etc.) and visualization tools
●Fluent in English 
Preferred :
●Experience from e-commerce, retail industry
●Good communication and collaboration skills
●Knowledge and experience in data mining, classification, or pattern recognition is a plus
