·         Identify the requirements of product development projects on a per project basis and work through the group to fulfil those requirements.

·         Manage design accessories projects.

·         Strictly collaboration with R&D and Technical department.

·         Leader/Member of brainstorming groups and design reviews.

·         Coordinate testing and certification of all the products under her/his jurisdiction.

·         Communicate with suppliers as required.

·         Review drawings and Product Change Requests for accuracy.

·         Prepares mechanical/architectural 2D sketches and 3D models using computer aided design (CAD) and pictorial techniques.

·         Creates mechanical/architectural drawings by reviewing models, sketches, descriptions, specifications, and supporting documents; conferring with R&D and Technical department. The finished product must be a professional drawing package.

·         Project time estimates

·         Product Drawings

·         Responsible for assisting in the Drawing, CAD and 3D Modeling Standards.

·         Build and test prototypes.

·         Maintain a sense of urgency/responsibility daily with all projects.

·         Ensure product designs are manufacturing friendly.

·         Evaluates materials and makes recommendations.

·         Keep abreast of changes in the industry, materials and process technologies.

·         Work with leadership to ensure that Product Engineering is meeting their needs.

Preferred Position Requirements

·         Education: Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent experience).

·         CAD and Drafting Skills, 3D modeling, GD&T principles. Experience with AutoCAD. Inventor is a plus

·         Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite of products.

·         Experience: 7-10 years.

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

·         English spoken is a plus.

·         Interfaces with outside suppliers.

·         Maintain a professional drawing system.

·         Proven track record for on time and complete.

·         Proven track record of hands on design and manufacturing experience.

·         Proven track record of working with manufacturing plants and supply chain to develop and deliver solutions that are manufacturable early in the development process.

Travel

·         5-20% travel is anticipated with the potential for travel.
