Position Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated data analyst with a talent for turning raw data into actionable insightful reports and strategic recommendations.

To succeed in this role you will need excellent data analysis skills (Excel and Access) along with direct experience of setting up and running reports and analysis of:

- Sales performance
- SKU performance
- Vendor performance
- Inventory reporting
- Activities/Promotions reporting and analysis
- Customer behavior analysis
- Budgeting / forecasting

You will own the process of setting up and running the reports to improve reporting efficiency.

Primary Responsibilities:
?Drive key management reporting of merchandising team. Continually strive to identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency
?Extract and combine data from multiple sources to create daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting to support merchandising departments.
?Assess and streamline existing reporting and analysis tools to reduce internal effort while maximizing business results
?Synthesize and evaluate internal business performance as well as external / competitive trends to draw out relevant insights and actionable implications
?Proactively identify and communicate sales and margin trends.
?Structure, plan and execute ad hoc analyses to identify root causes of significant business issues and track business improvements over time

Qualifications:
?Bachelor's Degree
?3+ years relevant experience.
?Creative problem solver with distinctive conceptual thinking and analytical skills
?Knowledge of reporting and analysis
?Understanding of Commercial sales business model
?Advanced and proven abilities in Excel for analytical functions; experience building MS Access databases to support analysis projects; Strong skill in PPT for presentation.
?Experience collecting and interpreting data, some programming experience an advantage
?Ability to clarify objectives, design analyses to answer the business question, interpret findings, and package into easy to understand, actionable recommendations.
?Proactive and self-motivated work style with proven ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities in a fast paced environment.
?Strong interpersonal & communication skills
?English competency: Oral / Written
