职位描述

Area of Responsibility:
To assist the Chief Financial Officer, RX China and the respective business unit heads to develop and grow the business by leading a strong finance team capable of providing prompt and accurate financial information for management decisions. The incumbent is expected to work closely in partnership with the other senior management to strategize and manage the business as a team with the objective of ensuring sustained profitability and growth of joint ventures and organic businesses in China.

Strategy:
1. As a business partner to the CFO, assess organizational performance against both the annual budget and company's long-term strategy.
2. Develop tools and systems to provide critical financial and operational information to the CFO and make actionable recommendations on both strategy and operations.
3. Proactive involvement and engagement with the heads of relevant business departments / units to manage and develop the business and financial performance and strength of the units / shows in China
4. To provide sound, commercial and financial advice to the Senior Management team
5. Assist in establishing yearly objectives and meeting agendas, and selecting and engaging outside consultants (auditors, investment advisors etc).
6. Oversee long-term budgetary planning and costs management in alignment with company's needs and goals.

Accounting and Administration:
1. Oversee the finance department to ensure maintenance of all accounting systems and function, including upgrading & / migration of accounting software to achieve a single platform system for the region.
2. Ensure maintenance of appropriate internal controls and financial procedures.
3. Ensure timeliness, accuracy, and usefulness of financial and management reporting.
4. Oversee the preparation and communication of monthly and annual financial statements.
5. Coordinate audits and proper filing of tax returns and all other related statutory requirements.
6. Ensure legal and regulatory compliance regarding all financial functions in the South China.
7. Oversee preparation of month-end, quarter-end and year-end financial statements.
8. Review all month-end closing activities including general ledger maintenance, balance sheet reconciliations and corporate/overhead cost allocations.
9. Enhance and implement financial and accounting systems, processes, tools and control systems.
10. Serve as a key point of contact for external auditors; Manage preparation and support of all external audit.

Financial Planning and Analysis:
1. Track and review the business financial performance as part of the regular reforecasting and business planning process; alerting the business leaders and initiating remedial and corrective actions where needed
2. Consolidate and manage the financial reporting from various business units and submit to RX China Corporate office. Analyze and interpret financial and provide written monthly management reports, other business reports and trends for management discussion and decision.
3. Consolidate and report the results and/or positions of units for senior management to manage and track performances and positions.

Planning and Policy:
1. To integrate and manage new businesses (including JVs) and ensure that company policies and procedures are aligned.
2. Develop the 3-year strategic business plan and annual business plan together with the business unit leaders.
3. Coordinate the development and monitoring of budgets and outlines.
4. Develop financial business plans and forecasts.
5. To provide leadership, guidance and advice to regional and JV finance teams regarding policies, processes, systems and ensure compliance to Group policies, tax and other regulatory requirements.
6. To provide objective financial analyses and to make appropriate recommendations and support for corporate development projects including acquisitions, divestments, joint ventures and major view on business initiatives when required.
7. To attend and where necessary represent Reed's interest at key business meetings including Board of Directors Meetings and Shareholders.

Supervisory responsibilities:
1. Leading, mentoring and developing the team.
2. Managing work allocation, training, problem resolution and staff performance evaluations.


Pre-Requisite skill sets:
1. Possess a degree in Accountancy with at least 5 years of relevant working experience at a senior level. Has at least 3 years of Big-4 external auditor work experience
2. Strong technical skills; Possess good leadership and management skills
3. Sharp, Strategic, Business acumen, Understands the commercial aspects of the business within short time
4. Able to communicate, deal and negotiate with partners and potential targets at senior level
5. Possess strong interpersonal skills and can work well with all levels
6. Has good work experience with multi-national companies in China
7. Bilingual in both written & spoken English and Mandarin is a must.
8. UFIDA, Hyperion proficiency is preferred.
9. Preferably worked and understand RX reporting requirement.
