Job Description:
Overall Responsibility
Provide strategic plans focusing on how to improve the marketing functions and processes with a long term view to contribute towards the company's growth and key strategies.
Create and shape team cultures which promote excellence, collaboration and innovation.
Provide quarterly review, and setting benchmarks for each assigned event to identifying gaps and providing solutions with significant improvement in results.
Possess extremely high personal standards
Continuously seek out new innovative methods and processes to go one up against the competition.
Leadership skills geared towards coaching managers and key marketing staff.
Provide systematic training for all marketing staff, as well as encouraging breakthroughs away from the traditional.
Major Responsibility
1. Marketing strategy
- Understand the key marketing issues facing RX China and devise an appropriate marketing strategy for the company
2. Marketing skills development
Provide guidance and on the job training to project managers and marcom executives
- Supervise the planning and execution of marketing activities
- Devise and implement an off-the-job training programme to improve marketing effectiveness.
- Ensuring the sharing of best practices
- Assist the preparation of show marketing budgets
3. Management of key marketing suppliers
- Manage and liaise with the main suppliers to ensure the best use of marketing budgets.
4. Exhibitor and visitor research
- Devise and implement improved research tools and ensure high quality analysis is undertaken and logical conclusions reached and advise appropriate actions taken by project managers in respect of the following event.
5. Development of products and services
- Develop non space products and services including the company's electronic offering and introduce them to the project teams
6. Marketing effectiveness
- Develop a system to measure and report on overall marketing effectiveness, implement and monitor
7. Sales support
- Appropriately support the sales process company wide e.g. assistance with writing of promotional material
8. Corporate marketing and PR
- Ensure the corporate website is of high quality and is kept up-to-date.
- Respond to internal and external corporate requests for information
- Advise the management group on appropriate strategies to promote the Company generally
- Participates in strategy setting for new business development opportunities.
Job Qualification:
1. Over 10 years working experience in multinational company, four years of managerial and people management experience and at least 5 years in B2B marketing
2. MBA degree preferred, ideally in marketing
3. Experience in RX exhibitions
4. Good working relationship with ISG network is preferred
5. Excellent oral and written communication in both English and Chinese with strong interpersonal skills
6. Computer literacy and database management skills are important
7. Must be a team player and provide leadership support to develop and train supporting marketing staff
8. Able to work under pressure. Multi tasked, attention to details and self driven
9. Highly analytical and good command of ppt and report writing
10. Creative, strategically thinking and an eye to identify business and marketing gaps
11. With exhibition or events management experience is a plus
12. Have a good understanding of the industry is a plus as well
13. Good knowledge of e-marketing is preferred.
14. Ability to work on own initiative but equally able to work with peers to assist them improve their marketing activities.
