Responsibilities
The main purpose of the Senior Technical Support Engineer (Sr. TSE) is to provide quality support to enterprise customers by resolving their technical issues. Technical issues are typically highly complex, spanning multiple Veritas products and third party vendors. Support is provided in a variety of ways including phone, online services, and electronic mails.
Primary responsibilities are but not limited to:
· Ensure that Veritas customers receive professional and helpful response to their support requests.
· Provide technical support for NetBackup (NBU) S/W and NBU Appliances including H/W, as well as other Veritas products as required.
· Resolve technical issues with customers and partners over the phone with continued follow up until resolved and ensure proper escalation procedures are followed for unresolved issues.
· Take and handle customer calls in a professional manner to have a customer satisfied with Veritas products and support services.
· Continually participate in building the capability of the technical support organizations by delivering training sessions, writing knowledgebase articles, case documentation, product documentation, and etc.
Qualifications
· 8+ years of customer support experience in IT environment is a MUST.
· 3+ years of technical experience of enterprise Backup S/W is highly preferred.
· In-depth knowledge of UNIX servers with 2+ years of hands-on experience.
· Any combination of the following skills will be a plus: Storage Systems / SAN environment / Oracle DB, MS SQL / Linux, Windows.
· Ongoing enthusiasm for technology - enjoying learning and using new technologies.
· Strong ability to work in a team environment and maintain a positive attitude throughout the support process.
· Being responsive to customer requests and needs – for both external and internal stakeholders.
· Superior verbal, writing and listening skills.
· Ability to multi-task across several open cases.
· Ability to tackle complex problems to simple solutions.
· Ability to work under high pressure environment and take a calm and mature approach to dealing with difficult problems and people.
· Being proactive in addressing issues and solving problems.
· Working proficiency in English.
· Better if candidate can speak Korean language.
