Job Description of Investment Analyst/Associate

 

Level: Associate/Analyst level for CREF

Responsibilities:

Junior investment professional role

Work closely with senior investment professionals in CREF team to screen, analyze and execute transactions. Although focus of the new hire is qualitative analysis and financial modelling, he/she will be involved in full spectrum of investment, reporting and administrative work of the investment team.

• General industry research to assist in identifying and screening of potential investment   opportunities

• Perform in-depth research, analysis and presentations on the fundamentals of potential investments

• Prepare investment and transaction financial models and conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis

• Prepare internal investment approval materials

• Support deal execution including due diligence, financial analysis, legal documentation and financing

• Coordinate with external professional parties to manage due diligence process

• Prepare periodical and ad-hoc fund reporting package for investors

• Assist in monitoring and reviewing portfolio companies from strategic, operational and financial perspectives

• Other ad-hoc assignments

Qualifications: (3 to 5 years’ experience)

Should have experience in renewable energy project development, M&A, corporate finance, investment research or related areas; strong financial modelling skill; solid financial knowledge; interested in renewable energy sector, in-depth sector knowledge will be a plus

The role should be based in Beijing.
