As a Proposal Engineer, you will be part of the Robotics and Motion (RM) Division and Robotics (BU) Business unit, based in Shanghai. ABB is the World leader in Robotics and Motion (RM) division offering a wide range of products and services including drives, motors, generators and robots. Key applications include energy conversion, actuation, automation, standardized manufacturing cells for applications such as machine tending, welding, cutting, painting, finishing, palletizing and packing, and engineered systems for the automotive industry.

Your Task as a Proposal Engineer will include the following:

1. Prepare sales proposals for paint /sealing application systems, with focus on cost effectiveness, conformance to local codes, and ease of operation.
2. Communicate and know well customer requirements.
3. Provide technical and experienced inputs to customer inquiry/feedback review, and convert this information into an engineering offer with a logical cost estimation.
4. Find out solution according to customer requirements.
5. Prepare and assist in customer technical presentations.
6. Assist in RFQ preparation, participate in vendor quotation reviews, and act as one of the main approvers on vendor deliveries.
7. Make offer for customer and provide customers with professional consultation.
8. Perform other assignments (or duties) as required.

? BS in Engineering and Mechanical Design is preferred.
? 5 years of Experience in Automation Painting Process Engineering or Proposals for Automotive, Auto parts or general industry.
? Familiar in Auto-CAD, 3D CAD systems and MS-Office (Word, Excel and Project 2007).
? Experience in working with Painting & Sealing process for Automotive Industry or Tier 1.
? Knowledge of Painting & Sealing process, Automotive Manufacture, and Applications of Robotics.
? Fluent in English.
