As a Firmware Engineer, you will be part of the Robotics and Motion (RM) Division and Robotics (BU) Business unit, based in Shanghai. ABB is the World leader in Robotics and Motion (RM) division offering a wide range of products and services including drives, motors, generators and robots. Key applications include energy conversion, actuation, automation, standardized manufacturing cells for applications such as machine tending, welding, cutting, painting, finishing, palletizing and packing, and engineered systems for the automotive industry.

You will serve as one of the technical engineer for industrial robot firmware related architecture/components development.

？ Responsible for FPGA design, development and verification in robot controller system.
？ Verification and test on board.
？ Support and solve problems during system level test.
？ Living ABB’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.

？ BS/MS/PhD and major in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
？ 3+ years of experience with VHDL programming in FPGA, familiar with Modelsim, ISE/Viva do and other necessary EDA tools.
？ Excellent knowledge of Digital Circuit, Logical Design and timing analysis.
？ PMSM servo drive development & validation experience is an added advantage.
？ Familiar with tcl / perl, familiar with RTOS.
？ Strong communication skill and highly responsible, self-motivated and autonomous at work.
？ Good team work spirit and willing to contribute to the team’s success.
？ Capable of managing changes and multi-tasks during the development phase.
？ Fluent in oral and written English.
