Job Title: Test Engineer

Job overview: As an Amprobe Test Engineer , you will be responsible for creating test procedures, identifying test methodology and equipment, performing tests and providing guidance to various teams (R&D, quality) regarding product safety and performance according to current regulations. You will be also responsible to manage product compliance and documentation with safety labs: UL, CSA or TUV.

Primary Responsibilities:

？ Review and evaluate new product designs or changes in existing designs including product safety compliance evaluations (IEC 61010-1, IEC 61557 series ect.); determine calibration specifications, functional and/or environmental test requirements and need for test requirements, equipment and facilities. Generate test plans for safety evaluations and product performance.
？ Propose and coordinate design changes with the R&D teams to improve product safety, performance and manufacturability.
？ Manage product compliance certifications with outside safety labs (CSA, UL, CE etc.)
？ Provide technical assistance and conduct training to quality assurance, repair and technical support teams
？ Specify and/or design factory test equipment used for manufacturing or product quality assurance testing; prepare documentation to enable fabrication of test equipment.
？ Prepare calibration and test procedures and related documentation for new and existing products. Monitor progress of tests for validity of test conditions, means of measurement and performance of products in relation to specifications.
？ Review test results and manage process to take corrective action as necessary. Analyze product failures and noncompliance to product regulations; recommend alternate product safety design changes.

Qualifications:

Experiences:
？ 5+ years hands-on of product safety evaluations in European, North America and worldwide product regulations; in-depth knowledge of IEC 61010-1, IEC 61557 series regulations
？ 5+ years of product performance testing for test&measurement equipment
？ 5+ years of NPI development and compiling test/calibration procedures
？ Previous experience with third party safety labs: UL, CSA or TUV preferred
Electrical engineering degree
Attention to detail, problem solving skills and ability to explain product technical specifications
