You will help establish technical standards and drive the overall technical architecture and engineering practices. You will be working on hardest problems of product informational retrieval and machine learning, operating with large data sets and building ML platforms that will help us scale. You will work closely with product management to define the future of Catalog quality for Coupang(finding duplicated products, identify correct product attributes, help seller manager high quality product information, improve search quality, improve conversion rate etc). You will provide overall technical vision when designing and building the software, ensuring the software is evolving in the right long term direction while bringing value to customers iteratively.

-Assist in the career development of others, actively mentoring individuals and the community on advanced technical issues and helping managers guide the career growth of their team members.

-Exert technical influence over multiple teams, increasing their productivity and effectiveness by sharing your deep knowledge and experience.

Requirements:

? BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree and/or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

- 8+ years of software engineering experience and best practices in Java or other high level language.

-5+ years of experience leading large-scale projects.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

-Experience in building high-performance, highly-available and scalable distributed systems.

-Experience with data sources for both non-transactional (Cassandra, DynamoDB) and transaction (RDS, MySQL) needs.

-Experience with massive data processing techniques (EMR/Hadoop/Spark, Storm etc.)

-2+ years of hands-on experience as a Principal-level Software Development Engineer.

-Excellent written and verbal communication skills

-Desire to do deep data analysis while solving problems.

-Desire to guide junior engineers through design and architecture.
