Responsible for SAP system and application support, development activities, and providing assistance to customers and functional counterparts in determining system capabilities and development timelines. Creates and maintains program, tables and interfaces, and technical documentation. Accountable for program performance evaluation and correction and transport preparation. Works with functional counterparts and customers on program, interface and reporting requirements, including technical specification development. Adheres to company and application programming standards, writes technical specification, and is involved in unit, integration and user test execution.
Good inter-personal, verbal, and written communication skills. Demonstrates the ability to work independently and in teams to create and meet schedules. Possesses strong organizational and planning skills. Able to multi-task, be detail-oriented, and solve problems analytically. Able to interact with different levels of management and people with different personality styles. Able to demonstrate functional specification writing and familiarity with project planning and flowchart tools. Requires good understanding of and compliance with the companies approved support and development methodologies.

Strong technical knowledge of SAP ERP, BW and client/server Web. Knowledge of relevant programming languages, tools and middleware is critical, and include ABAP, JAVA, Flex, XML, SQL, RFC, Javascript, Perl, .NET, BSP, Web Dynpro, SAP scripts, CGI, C/C++, Unix/Linux, Windows, Oracle. Knowledge with SD/MM/Purchasing is desirable.

Typically requires a minimum of 2 years of related experience. Developing professional expertise, applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues. Has working knowledge of work area and general proficiency with tools, systems, and procedures required to accomplish the job. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new assignments. Implementations and solutions are reviewed for accuracy and overall adequacy. Builds productive internal/external working relationships. Contacts are primarily within business unit and occasional organizational and external customer contacts on routine matters.
