Position Description:

· Sales will be responsible for acquiring new business for Commercial Aviation Services (CAS) Business Units including Fleet Services, Material Services, Information services, and Flight Services.

· Services Sales Director will serve as the primary focal point for customer airlines and interface with CAS Business Units and Boeing Commercial Airplanes selling teams to ensure customer expectations are well defined and Boeing commitments are being met.

· In addition the CAS Sales Director will hold the position of CAS team leader responsible for all CAS customer sales and marketing engagements and new airplane point of sale activities.

· Sales will develop and implement strategic account plans for assigned airlines based on detailed customer knowledge that aligns CAS products and services with customer requirements to improve airline effeciency and airplane reliabilty and safety.

· Sales will be responsible for providing sales campaign status and input to the long range business plan on a regular basis.

· Sales will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong customer relationships and advocating customer requirements to all CAS business units.

· Sales will be accountable for achieving annual order plans for all CAS business units.

· Other duties and responsibilities will be subject to change based on management requirements


Competencies:

· Bachelor of Science in a technical discipline preferred, (equivalent of a four year U.S. college degree in engineering or business is required).

· Advanced degree(s) in technical discipline or MBA desired.

· Must be proficient in both written and verbal Chinese and English language

· Airline Maintenance and Engineering experience with an understanding of how airlines acquire technical products and services including internal decion making processes to obtain final purchase authorization

· International experience is desirable both in understanding the nuances of different businesses and cultures that operate under strict business processes

· Must be customer focused and able to set customer expectations while establishing clear customer performance criteria for Boeing colleagues

· Sales experience is highly preferred, with demonstrated ability to develop and execute sales strategies and manage multiple sales campaigns simultaneously. Must have ability to converse with a broad range of customer decision-makers including technical people and senior executives, coordinate sales activities with the home office, and manage a wide variety of resources. Must have the ability to lead a very diversified team

· Must be knowledgeable of basic airline operations and airplane engineering and maintenance processes

This requisition is for an international, locally hired position. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the country where the position is located. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not on Boeing US-based payroll. The work location is flexible and will offer relocation if we determine that is the best solution.
