This is an amended role within China Retail offer & marketing.

The role focuses on fuels product deployment in China retail market by working closely with BP GFT which is strategic product to retail business. The success candidate would also be required to identity new trends & opportunities around advanced mobility, i.e. EV which can be future new offer being introduced to BP retail network in China to keep us differentiated in this sector.

Help on fuels, new energy trends, regulations insights tracking and related government bodies relationship holding.

This role interfaces with a number of key stakeholders (internally and externally) therefore the successful candidate will be able to influence stakeholders to ensure development of all strategic projects.

This is an excellent broadening role for a capable candidate with good planning & performance management to gain broad-based experience around mobility in a fast paced growth environment.



* Work with Global COEs, China Retail Offer team, AMU and JV Marketing Managers to support the development and implementation of the BP China Fuels and EV strategies and business cases.
* Work with GFT to provide updates on China fuels policy, standards and specifications and implications for our business and development plans
* Monthly competitor updates and overall fuels, new energy trends updates
* Support JVs in fuel additivation solutions; China Retail link relationship holder with BASF/ additive bottlers and whole product transition process development & monitoring
* Support development of commercial case of EV roll out and link into JVs and AMU to ensure smooth project roll out
* Support JV capability development around "Ultimate selling" - staff training, comms messages/visuals
* Work with GPA team, to represent BP Retail in key industry associations and other stakeholders to support business agenda
* Monitor customer trend on fuels offer;
* Support Brand Manager on fuels, mobility related look & feel and marcomms development.



Degree or equivalent in Chemistry, Engineering or related technical discipline is preferred, business degree is a plus

Essential:
* Demonstrated project or program management skills
* Performance bias, solid analytical, reporting and planning skills
* Demonstrate a collaborative approach to working
* Demonstrated good interpersonal and communication skills
* Ability to speak Mandarin

Desired:
* Proven experience of fuels or mobility technology, automotive engineering development, product research, technology deployment or commercialization.
* Retail/Marketing or Business development experience
* Knowledge of BP's products (as applicable to the role), their composition, manufacture and application

The role holder has no direct financial accountability, but is part of a small team responsible for providing product support to cross JVs businesses delivering $m hundreds annually
