Role Summary/Purpose

This position will be responsible for driving Quality Improvement projects within Legacy Measurement & Control (M&C) China Engineering Teams including Inspection Technology (IT), Advanced Sensor (AS), Measurement Solution (MS), Bently Nevada(BN) and Control Solution China NPI.

Essential Responsibilities

• This role will stick on continuous improvement of engineering quality & vender quality from engineering perspective. Drive cultural change in interfacing with the entire organization through cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements opportunities. • Work with businesses and customers to understand their needs, and use data to drive improvements in responsiveness and overall quality of deliverables. • Lead teams to drive key quality Initiatives. • Define and align additional quality resources as necessary across the functional teams to assure initiative impact. • Communicate business process gaps through effective problem statement and use of project definition tools. • Periodically report out progress on key Initiatives and Big Y’s to senior business leadership • Coach and support the development of Green-Belt projects to ensure delivery of continuous improvement within their specific business areas.

Qualifications/Requirements

• B.S. Engineering Degree, Minimum of 5 years engineering related experience • Excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills • Experience in using DFSS, DMAIC, CAP, Workout, LEAN or other tools and methodologies to identify process gaps and lead change • Familiar with DFSS tools such like DOE, DFR, Crystal Ball & etc. • Ability to understand the big picture and also drill down into details for process/product improvement • Fluent on written and oral English • High performance tracking • Ability to travel (dependent on project needs) • Green Belt Certified (GE Employees only)

Desired Characteristics

• Electronics, controls, monitoring and protection experience • 2+ year of management experience • Demonstrated knowledge with electromagnetic compliant design techniques • Strong analytical and problem solving abilities including thorough understanding of process improvement • Demonstrated ability to continue complicated jobs to completion in timely manner. • Knowledge of and experience with the Bently Nevada product line • Green Belt Certified (6-Sigma) with DFSS skills.
