Test Day Personnel Manager, Quality and Compliance (CHI-391)

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT/TEAM

The British Council has had a presence in China since 1943, and since 1979 we have been operating as the Culture and Education Section of the British Embassy and Consulate-Generals in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Chongqing. We also opened our first English centre in Mainland China in September 2017, based in Nanjing.

Our Beijing office is currently looking for Test Day Personnel Manager – Quality and Compliance for a 6 months fixed-term contract with possible contract extension.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING AND WHY

Working in a team of four, you will lead the recruitment, training, and performance management of IELTS test day personnel and support IELTS operation in North & Central China to grow and meet agreed business targets and service standards.

WHAT IS INTERESTING ABOUT IT

You can take pride in the fact that you will be managing three officers as well as work closely with National Exams team. You will be given opportunity to lead and/or support operational efficiency and compliance improvement projects.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

To be qualified for this role, you will have bachelor’s degree with English B2 (Aptis C, IELTS 6.5 or equivalent) and Chinese C1 (HSK 5 or equivalent). You will have rich experience of people management as well as in training and quality assurance. You will have extensive knowledge of exams management.
